THEWORD Module Installation There are two types of modules to install, those that come with a module installer (an exe, which is a program that finds the correct place to put the module), and a zip or just a regular module without anything (these will end in the extension "twm"). For the module installer, these should install correctly to your program folder.
Manual installation of THEWORD Modules If you need to manually install a module, (say you get it as a filename.twm file or a compressed zip file) then you need to install this manually into the correct folder. Sometimes you may want to send a module to somebody else, and this information here will also help you find your modules. Basically there are three folders that TW uses for its modules. Basically it is its program folder (normally under "C:\Programs"), and two user folders, under Documents and Settings\[User]\Program Data\THEWORD, and Documents and Settings\All Users\Program Data\THEWORD. To see exactly where TW is locating these folders, Click "Help" on the main menu, Click "About" Click the tab on the popup, "File Locations".
The main executable (for me with Spanish XP Windows) is on the first line. Modules are stored/found in: Main executable file. Personal files folder. Common modules folder. Indexes. In general you should never need to know or do anything about indexes, but TW maintains an index of each module. These indexes are found in the Cache Folder.
