All things begin with God. This is also true of our theological position and how we do the ministry. It is true of salvation. When we begin with God, we begin at the beginning at creation. God created the heavens and the earth, both you and me. That being the case, God is our "owner", and He has inherent authority to decide all in our lives, and to command us as He sees fit. Many people err because they refuse to allow God His valid place as "God" over our lives. The whole issue of salvation is over God being the one who commands in our life. The whole issue of sanctification is a continuation of the same.
When I witness to the unsaved, I must begin by asserting the authority of God over that person's life by reading God's word where it begins to define the unbeliever's situation, but if he refuses to acknowledge the authority of God, I can go nowhere with him as far as salvation.
