Things you can send to help us.Ministry of David & Tule Cox - Mexico City, Mexico What this page is about: From time to time people ask us how they can help
us besides Ministry Helps A Church to tackle sending out our snail mail prayer letters. Letters from down here cost around $3.5 to send out registered, and if you do not send them registered, then it takes up to 3 months to get to the US. We need a church to undertake this burden for us. I would send them a prayer letter once every 3 months, and they would have the mailing list, and they would simply photocopy the prayer letter and use mailing labels to send it out. I am not sure how much letters in the US cost now, but I would help with the postage. Things we need and use and cannot get in Mexico: (no canned goods and nothing breakable)
INDIVIDUAL NEEDS, WANTS, AND GIFTS If you want to buy something specifically for somebody in the family, here our some of our "likes" Russ - Has a xBox, and games for this. Clothes size 12 (as of Oct 2008). Kelsie - Clothes size 14 (as of Oct 2008). She is into making jewelry with the beads. She likes the metal clasps and wire and elastic for this things. Both kids - Those video games you play in the car while traveling (that is a priority when we travel). Tule - Clothes size 12 or medium. David - Glucose Testing Strips for Glucometer Elite XL (or a different glucometer and the strips for it). Instructions: Please notify me by email of what and when you send us things and where it was sent. Please note that if what you have is bulky and you are somewhere close to where we will be traveling, we may be able to pass by and pick up what you are giving us to save postage. Our plans for going to the border next: Usually once
a year, probably close to Christmas Please note: Do not send us packages of things into Mexico without first contacting us. We are charged duty and customs without knowing what it is, and depending on what is sent, it may be as much as 50% of what you declare as the value of what you send! Books in English are exempt from this as I understand it. Last Updated on October 4, 2008 |
