Our Book, Tract, and CD Ministry

We want to reach our people and disciple them and ground them as best we can in the things of the Lord. Part of that ministry is our pulpit preaching (sermons), but also part of it is in reaching our people with other ministries through which we can benefit them.

Book Ministry

I write a lot of books, and most of them are from 20+ pages to 80 pages long. Some are straight sermon outlines, and others are more like "real books". I try to make them attractive, putting a color cover on the book. Here are some of our books.

These books are actually a more profound treatment than what I give in my sermons. I usually gather a lot of information about a topic, organize it, then put it into a preaching format, and then reduce a lot of the information that may be good but that I cannot get through in my time allotment. (By the way, I usually preach Sunday mornings for over an hour.)

These books are intensive study guides for our people to take home and go through a sermon piece by piece, verse by verse, and really study it.

Tract Ministry

We have always gone out on door to door evangelism, or passing out tracts and talking to people in streets and markets. To see some pictures of when we went out in a nearby market passing out tracts, visit this page.

These are some photos of some of our people working in evangelism.

Jake and Savannah came on a summer team, and they are putting mailing labels with directions to our church, church times, telephone and email information on each salvation booklet. This is at times tedious to prepare literature, but it is all part of having a good impact for the Lord.

We also take city maps off of a special internet website that has all the entire Mexico City entered in by Colonies (these are neighbors), street, and other information like schools, parks etcetera. As we go door to door we mark off each street with a magic marker, and slowly go through whole neighbors. The areas around the church have been evangelized with tracts some three times, and we are now going through door to door and talking with each family (if they will give us the opportunity) to one on one explain the plan of salvation.

Then we go out door to door with our literature to evangelize an area.

Here is David (on crutches) and his mother on door to door evangelism. He has one leg amputated but still is very faithful in coming out on evangelism every Saturday morning and Monday afternoons. This faithful family are dedicated soulwinners. Below is Robert (David's father) talking with a very stubborn Catholic man.

This is common sign that we see often. The blue sign is the address of the people that live there. The lower sign says "This home is Catholic. We do not accept propaganda from Protestants or Cults."

Tract Titles we print

Because of our constant evangelism, we confront many Catholics, Jehovah's Witnesses, and some Mormons, and even a good number of Pentecostals and other groups. As we discuss issues relevant with each person, I usually go home and make a tract that would have helped me that day if I had had one available.

Right now we have tracts on the Trinity, Baptism, The Existence of Hell, Why we don't worship Mary, and several on Jehovah's Witnesses. We also have several different salvation tracts that are geared towards different situations.

Since I carry an assortment of these tracts with me with we go door to door, I am able to leave different people with different literature geared to their individual needs. I also usually have several of our audio sermon CDs with me, and give them away so that they can hear one of our sermons. Usually it is the salvation sermon, but I also carry some on tongues for the Pentecostals.

CD Audio Sermons Ministry

Part of our ministry is to get these audio sermon CDs out, and we are putting out a number of them for our people to give away to interested people, as well as for them to listen to. I have posted them on the internet on our Spanish website also so that Spanish speaking pastors that visit our website can get them all around the world. Many times our people miss and they miss an important sermon I want them to hear. They will pick it on CD and listen to it at home. Right now we are asking for a donation of 50 cents (dollars) which is about the price of a coke and put it in a tin can beside the CDs box, and if they cannot afford it, to take it anyway even though they cannot pay. It is financially a losing situation, but spiritually I think we are slowly having an impact on many people outside of our church. Right now the brother-in-law of one of our people is a pastor of a Baptist Church in Merida Yucatan, Mexico, and he has gotten a number of our books and CDs through our church member.
