BGEA - Billy Graham Evangelistic Association

In general, Billy Graham exemplifies neo-evangelicalism and ecumenicalism. The simply summary of his ministry is that he works with anybody of any doctrinal belief or disbelief in order to promote his personal plan of evangelizing the world.

The same report quoted these words from Ford: "Preach the Gospel, but don't be so negative as to refuse to endorse or work with those who belong to a group that proclaims a different Gospel. "

Billy Graham's career started in 1950, and he formed a non-profit association in order to give receipts. In the charter papers of that organization, this same thought marked the beginning of his public ministry. The stated purpose was "to spread the gospel by any and all means." From this early date of 1950, Billy Graham began a relationship and friendship with the Catholic Church. Cardinal Richard Cushing wrote a diocesan paper in which he praised Billy Graham. "He and I became wonderful friends." Graham "made a point of stressing his own 'tremendous admiration' for the Cardinal."

From the beginning of his ministry Graham looked to build a tremendously popular, large, world-wide ministry at the price of holding to the truth of the word of God. Many noted Graham's lack of interest in defining and defending Scripture, taking an accommodating attitude towards groups and individuals that he should have opposed if he was to act as a true man of God, minister of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Dr. John R. Rice accused Graham of wanting "the prestige, the financial backing, and worldly influence" One of Graham's friends, Bill Moyers explained Graham's choices as "partly the price of celebrity. He's a popular and pleasant fellow who doesn't like offending his host." (A Prophet with Honor - The Billy Graham Story - by William Martin, pp 222, 518).

True Christianity is a proselytizing religion that seeks a conversion from other beliefs to belief in Jesus Christ as the only Savior. Billy Graham set aside the problem of making Jesus unique and only, and allowed, even preached and pushed an evangelism and conversion that accommodated Jesus beside other gods and beliefs about how to be saved. This opened the door to work with and receive support from Catholics, Buddhists and Muslims not to mention every flavor and variety of church in Christianity.

"Dr. Graham made clear that he and his fellow crusaders have no intention of doing any proselytizing" - Newsweek October 17, 1960.

In 1957 Billy Graham conducted his first ecumenical crusade and was immediately taken to task by Fundamentalists. John R. Rice the editor of "Sword of the Lord" of which Graham was a co-operating member of the board, wrote to Graham asking him if he could still sign the doctrinal statement of "...verbal inspiration of the Bible, the deity of Christ , His blood atonement, salvation by faith... opposing modernism, worldliness, and formalism. Graham replied that he could not and resigned. The impact of "mass evangelism" was to bring people together who otherwise would not have had any doctrinal unity. Doctrine slowly became a non issue. The impact of "pragmatism" in overriding Biblical principles for the sake of unity cannot be understated. Pragmatism essentially derives conclusions based on results, no matter how subjective the results are. Mass evangelism produced quick and deceptively convincing results. Yet the long term fruit of such has proved nothing short of devastating to the western church.**

Graham further distanced himself from true Evangelicalism with his remarks about Charismatism, a movement not considered "Evangelical" at the time. In Christianity Today he stated that "By and large, it [Charismatism] has been a positive force in the lives of many people". So too his remarks concerning Roman Catholicism and the Pope further distanced him from Evangelicalism.

In 1979 Graham called The Neo-Evangelical Movement Pope John Paul II "the moral leader of the world", (Religious News Service, Sept. 27, 1979). In an article about the Pope in 1980, Graham said: "Pope John Paul II has emerged as the greatest religious leader of the modern world, and one of the greatest moral and spiritual leaders of the century", (Saturday Evening Post, Jan./Feb. 1980).

In his biography of evangelist Billy Graham, John Pollock observed that "Graham 's mind was forever ranging for fresh ways of proclaiming or consolidating the Gospel." The Lausanne Committee was certainly one of the evangelist's new ways, but it further destroyed the Gospel instead of consolidating its message. This was because Graham places no importance upon doctrine or Biblical truth. William Martin included the following in his biography of Graham:

"Robert Ferm who spent a career putting the best possible face on Graham's actions and words (stated) 'I have read the major theologians and his is in an entirely different category.' Carl Henry admitted that 'I keep my fingers crossed about the books Billy writes.' Still another veteran colleague was more blunt: 'Billy has never worked through his theology."' http://www.cephas-library.com/catholic/catholic_todays_evangelicals_embracing_deadliest_cult_2.html

"Billy Graham referred to losing this pope as losing one of his own family."
NEWS BRIEF: "Pope Recalled as 'Voice of Conscience' ", by Pete Winn, associate editor, Focus On The Family, April 4, 2005

NEWS BRIEF: "Clergy, dignitaries pay respects to pope", CNN News, April 5, 2005

" 'I have a very strange feeling of loss. I almost feel as though one of my family members has gone', evangelist Billy Graham told CNN's Larry King Saturday night. 'I loved him very much, and had the opportunity of discussing so many things with him, and we wrote each other several times during the years'."

Thus did Billy Graham endorse the Roman Catholic Church, leading his people into an acceptance of Catholicism as genuine Christianity. But, why should we be surprised, for the Dr. Graham has repeatedly praised this pope? Listen to Billy Graham praise Pope John Paul II:

"He (Billy Graham) has called the Pope a 'great evangelist', the "greatest religious leader of the modern world, and one of the greatest moral and spiritual leaders of this century. On another occasion, he said that he believed the pope should be 'God's instrument for revival in our generation'." ["Billy Graham and His Friends", by Dr. Cathy Burns, p. 416]

Pope John Paul II seemed to feel a great affinity for Dr. Billy Graham, too. Listen:

"Graham spoke about a meeting with Pope John Paul II; 'there was a pause in the conversation; suddenly, the Pope's arm shot out and he grabbed the lapel of my coat, he pulled me forward within inches of his own face. He fixed his eyes on me, and said, 'Listen, Graham, we are brothers ...." [Ibid.]

Again, why should we be surprised, when Billy Graham is a secret Freemason, as acknowledge by Masons themselves? Read NEWS1082; NEWS1083. If anyone doubts that these two official state Masonic websites did list Billy Graham as a "Famous Mason", we printed out the entire list from both the State of Louisiana and the State of Michigan Masonic sites before we posted NEWS1082, and can either mail you a copy or fax you a copy.

As Dr. Burns proves in her book, above, Billy Graham has been working for the Illuminati for a very long time. And, Dr. Burns proves her point, with over 4,400 footnotes!

“…that’s what God is doing today, He’s calling people out of the world for His name, whether they come from the Muslim world, or the Buddhist world, or the Christian world, or the non-believing world, they are members of the Body of Christ because they’ve been called by God. They may not even know the name of Jesus, but they know in their hearts that they need something that they don't have, and they turn to the only light that they have, and I think that they are saved, and that they’re going to be with us in heaven.

…and the Roman Catholic Church has changed. They open their arms to welcome us and we have the support of the Catholic Church almost everywhere we go.

And I think that we must come to the place where we keep our eyes on Jesus Christ, not on what denomination or what church or what group we belong to.” - May 31, 1997 Interview of Billy Graham by Robert Schuller
