FAST WEB OPTIMIZED PDFS
-
All files are fast web optimized,
i.e. you can view table of contents
and a page without downloading the
entire file. This depends in part on your particular server.

Who is this guy?
Mexico City, Mexico
This is my personal library of electronic religious works. Feel free to
download and save them to your our computer. May God bless you as you
study and minister for our Lord. This library is always under
construction. The quality you find in some areas is because I have
worked in that area. As time goes on, I will work heavily in other
areas. Please note that in some areas, there may not be works available.
Sorry. I keep searching and with time there should be stuff there.

How to Use this Resource
Mouseover information
- On most links on these pages there is additional
information I supply in the mouseover link. To test, place the mouse cursor on
this
link, and the message "This is additional information." should pop up over
the link in bubble help. Your version of Internet Explorer (version 4 or later) or other
Browser software may be old and not support this feature. Upgrade your browser
if this is the case.
HOW TO USE THIS LIBRARY
Reading - I really do not expect people to read the majority of these
works online. That is why I put the file size behind the work title. In some
cases of unknown works, you might want to read a smaller file online. Most files
are web optimized (some slip through, write me and I will redo any that are
lacking). This means that if you load a 5MB pdf file into your web browser, then
normally it should download the entire 5MB before you see anything. Web
optimized PDF files are files that first download what you click on. Normally
the first page is downloaded in a few seconds and from there you can click and
read and browse the file.
General Notes on PDF files - My purpose in making the files pdf and
putting them in this format is so that you can download the file to your hard
drive and having them available even if you are not online. After the file size
(K is kilobytes, and MB is megabytes). I would suggest a broad band connection
to download the files, although they are usable with a normal dial up
connection. If you do not have broad brand, find a friend that does, download
them, and then burn them onto a CD to put onto your computer. In some cases I
have put these files in a zip archive file. I do this and check how much space
is saved, and if very little is saved, I do not put it up in a zip format.
(S) Sermon - This is in an outline format and is
normally a sermon.
(B) Book - This is in a book format (usually
larger with a table of contents).
(A) Article - This is a shorter work normally without chapter or similar
divisions.
(W) Woman Author - I follow the Bible's teaching in
women not instructing men, so I want to know when the author is a woman.
(c) Copyrighted
Material - In general
everything here is not under copyright because of its age or because the author
has released it into public domain or is putting it on the internet. In a few
cases, the author has placed material on the internet and not released its
copyrights, but allows others to benefit in a non-financial way. This material
is marked with a (c) to show this. It can be
used, but it cannot be sold or included in other works or in some cases reposted
on the internet.
READING
In general, Internet Explorer works this way, left click on the work title
and the work should load in this frame. It may take a while in some cases if the
file is large (and the pdf file is not web optimized). In my
system, this opens Adobe Acrobat Reader in the web browser window with the file in it.
(You can click on the floppy disk in the Adobe PDF Reader bar and save it to
your hard disk. Therefore if you read part of a file,
and things seem to freeze up, it is because you have moved beyond the current
page that is downloading and into an area that it has not yet downloaded. Just wait.
DOWNLOADING TO YOUR HARD DISK - This is what I recommend. It takes a
little longer, but you will have it on for later use. Instead of left clicking
on file title, right click on the title, and select "save destination to" .... This should open
a file save dialog box where you can select the location on your hard. Select
several files and get them downloading and go take a shower or go to bed.
"BUYER BEWARE"
I have a number of works so it is difficult for me to actually read each one
and every one to check for doctrinal correctness. I have over 3400 pdf files in my
personal library at last count, and many were downloaded as is from other
websites. I use them when I am looking for something, and at times I want to see
what the other side is using for arguments against a position I hold. Therefore
there are some Catholic files, Church of God, Pentecostal, Disciples of Christ,
etc. Usually those files I do put up on my website, but rather they are for my
personal reference.
Also as with any theological book even by "sound" authors, the reader needs
to compare what is written with the Word of God and let God's Holy Spirit guide
them as to whether what is presented is really sound or not.
Problems
Email me with any problems you might have. If you find a work that is formatted poorly,
(especially in the bookmarks) please send me an email about it and I will try to
reformat it and reprint it in PDF format. (I do own Adobe Acrobat.) This is an
ongoing project so hopefully it will get better with time. Please note that the
shorter works do not usually have bookmarks.
Suggestions for Including a Work in My Library
If you have works that you think would be beneficial to this library, whether
they are other websites, or your own works, please
send me an email and I will be glad to consider it after examining the
material. Some websites are very
clear that nobody can view or reproduce in any form their material. One such
example is David Cloud's website. He sells copies of it on CD's, and his policy
is that only a link can be inserted, and none of "his" material can be
reproduced (although a large part of "his" material is written by other people
that I would hope that he has individually gathered letters of authorization to allow him to post
other works). These sites I do not even reference because with
that restrictiveness. I deem in most cases their material unfit and of little
use no matter how "good" the material may be because their attitude is
not one in the spirit of benefiting the body of Christ and not ministering as
Christ instructed us "freely you received, freely give". But they have their
legal rights, and their
attitude is such that makes a person wonder why any of their works are published on the internet in the
first place! End of diatribe 10001.
Recommendations
Depending on your resources (hard disk space) and your modem connection
speed, I would download all of the works in this library that you feel would be
useful. I include works that I feel are scholarly, sometimes to present a view
opposite of one that I take. I feel this is necessary to be balanced and see
what attacks against my position those of opposing views will throw against me.
Those works of a contrary position may not be of value to you, so review
carefully.
Copyright Questions
These works are all downloaded from the Internet, so I assume that they are
public domain. Usually I do not download works which are specially copyright
restricted. The fact that a work is on the internet means that it is put forth
for the general public. At times people wish to restrict their own writings, or
writings that they have copyright rights over from being distributed in any form
except on their own web pages. This is their right and I will remove anything
from my web site if this is the case. Please advise me
if there is a work in question that you feel I have infringed somebody's
will in this matter. I will investigate it and get back with you, usually
removing it from my site.
Please note that just because you have a work on your web site does not mean
that you own a copy right to that work. NOTE: Works that have expired their original copyright
ARE IN THE PUBLIC DOMAIN even if they are reposted or reprinted!
If you are the copyright owner of a work, please
advise me if you find your copyrighted work on my website and you do not want it
to be here. In general, I never change any works I download, as I
find them on the internet, I repost them. The only modification I do is to place
"destinations" (a pdf "bookmark" of sorts which is invisible to users) so that I
can link to specific chapters or places with a work. I do this to facilitate
study and use by students of the work.
Please note that I try to get links to Amazon or other book dealers so that
people can buy a paperback copy of the work if they so desire. Internet or
electronic copies of books are nice at times, but I find most Pastors and
serious students of Scripture want a paper copy, so these copies help them know
where to spend their money.
