Angel of the Lord - Gen 16:7-13; 22:11-18; Exo 4:2, 6.
It would appear that both God the Father and God the Son have at times the identification with Jehovah (as a generic parallel would be the word "God"). In Exo 23:20 Jehovah sends his angel before them which is obviously separate and apart from Jehovah, and directly speaking of the Son of God. Compare in 1Cor 10:4 where this is identified as Christ. Isa 6:3, 10 speaks of the glory of Christ, the Messiah, which comparing with John's words in John 12:40, this is Jesus Christ, "These things said Isaiah when he saw His glory and spake of Him (John 12:41). .
