Savannah Krol's birthday was on July 4th, so we had a birthday party for her with our church. We went to a restaurant after church, and returned to our house to cut the birthday cake. As per the Mexican tradition, the birthday girl has to take a bite out of the cake (no hands or fork). Just when she is taking the bite, somebody "helps" her by pushing her head into the cake so that she gets it on her nose! (see photo number 14, 15 and 17) This is tradition in Mexico, and the birthday person has to watch and keep the people from behind them, but we forgot to tell Savannah that part. The girl on her left in photo #15 is Blanca, and Blanca and Erica (girl in black in Photo #23) took Savannah to see the city that afternoon.
