Modules: Install-Uninstall

First of all, let me say that I am just a user of e-Sword and in no way am I officially related to the developer of e-Sword, Rick Meyers. I have communicated with Rick and he has nicely answered questions I have fielded him, but I think he is much too busy trying to support himself at his professional job of software developer to answer everybody's questions all the times. I have taken it upon myself to try and clear up some of the more common questions and post them on my website. Any definitive answer needs to come from Rick if it is really important.

Secondly I would like to explain that this page will link to my other pages which explain different elements of e-Sword or simply make a quick answer of something as best I know. I am trying to keep related information on the page specific to that area of e-Sword and using this page as a catch all page.

 Modules: Installation, uninstalling, problems

Question: How do I uninstall a module?

Question: I had a module, and now cannot see it, but it is physically in the e-Sword folder. How do I get it back?

Question: What is going on with your Website (e-swordmodules files)?

Basically the answer is that Microsoft Frontpage was my html editor, and it has screwed up my website horribly. First a new release of Foxfire came out (which is the browser of my choice) and it trashed the themes on these pages making the text invisible. Next I reinstalled my programs on a new computer and I could not find any Frontpage CDs to install on my new computer. I looked to purchase a copy and equally screwed. So I am migrating to NVU, an open source html editor. Then I find NVU wants to automatically saved every html page with the extension "html" instead of "htm" like Frontpage has done it for 10 years for me. Fine, NVU is messed up. As I study the thing, I find that Frontpage is alone in naming their pages with this extension, and everybody else wants to name it "html." So I am in the process of changing the file extensions on these pages (for my whole 8 gigabytes of website). The only thing is that all my pages are Google indexed and doing this will break the Google links, and I will go to through the floor as far as people Googling me. Therefore I am doing intermediate stuff of having dual pages for everything and starting on the e-Swordmodules folder first. What a headache.
